The concierge staff at Tokyu Stay Shibuya were amazing! They helped us send on our luggage to our next hotel in Kyoto (do note you need to send it 2 days prior, by 5pm, for your luggage to arrive in line with your next check in date). I also lost my credit card when I went to Azabudai Hills Team Labs exhibit (fell out of my pocket when walking in the dark) and they were able to call and find out about it for me, even left me a thorough printed message and picture of where to go and I successfully retrieved it! I'm very grateful. The room is large for Japan standards, heaps of space to open luggage and we loved having a washing machine + dryer combo inside the room.

Hotel is newly renovated and clean. Rooms are spacious for Tokyo standards and there is a two-in-one washer/dryer in your room which you do not have to pay extra for, which is a big plus! Free laundry detergent is also provided. Service is great as I had my luggage delivered from a different city to the hotel, and the staff immediately stored it in my hotel room so I did not have to go through the hassle of lugging the luggage myself. Location is close to a lot of small restaurants/izakayas/bars but still is peaceful at night. Not a far walk from the hustle and bustle of Dougenzaka, Shibuya if you prefer something more lively.

The room was very clean with good AC and had a ton of space/amenities. All of the parts of the room were nice. There was a kitchen area, a washer, a great bathroom, a comfortable bed, a table and place to eat, and a nice entertainment system. It isn't in a bustling, busy location, but it is close to Shinsen station which is only one stop from Shibuya station. I stayed here at the end of my trip, and it was perfect for the last two days as I needed a spot with great AC, space to get organized, and convenience.

Location - About 10-15 minutes walking distance from the Shibuya station and Shibuya Crossing. Nearby lots of combinis (aka convenient stores) to grab a snack after a long day out! Staff - Very friendly. They speak just a little bit of English, but enough get you where you need. Facilities - A 2-3 star hotel with comfortable rooms that have most of what you need. One of the "older" room that we stayed at during our Japan trip, but still very spacious. It included a washing machine and kitchenette which were very convenient. You can rent (for free) an umbrella, hangers, drying line, etc. from the receptionist which was useful for our stay. There is an amenities bar which is a little bare: no skincare products, but does include tea, razors, and haircomb. Toothrbush and toothpaste are in the room. We stayed for 5 nights, and they only clean once every 6 days (if you stay for 6 days). Otherwise, they change out your your towels, toothbrushes, and pajamas daily. The hotel is "locked" 24/7, so you need to bring your key card with you to get in and out of the hotel. This makes the hotel feel secure, but is a little inconvient when you've checked-out but you're storing your luggage at the hotel. This was our last stop before we returned to the airport, and we were able to reserve a taxi and store our luggage here after check-out. We did not choose to get breakfast at our hotel, but it is available for guests.

The room and bathroom were modern, very clean, comfortable and not too small, unlike most hotel rooms in Tokyo at this price point. The location was very convenient.

We got the biggest room type, and it is roomy by Tokyo's standards. We like the washer/dryer inside the room, with laundry detergent, so we don't need to be around when washing our clothes. The room has a separate toilet room and bathroom, which makes it easy when you stay with family members; one could use the shower/bath (the room has a full-size bathtub) while the other uses the toilet. The bathroom has cloth line for drying cloth. Living area has a dining table, sofa (with storage drawer beneath), refrigerator, and induction cooker. The remaining area is large enough that I can practice yoga in the morning, and the floor is clean. There is a 24-hr supermarket just right across the front, which makes it super easy if you want to make some breakfast yourself. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and yakitori places if you want to dine out. This location offers Airporter service, which you can pay a fee for same-day delivery of your luggage to the airport. We recommend this service if you have evening flight leaving Tokyo. Save you effort and energy getting on and around the crowded metro and the area (Shibuya is very, very crowded).

The best location for the first comers to Tokyo - it's just 5 min from Shibuya crossing but it's located on the small street so it's very quiet

We are Australians and we stayed in Tokyu Stay Shibuya for 6 nights. We liked everything about the property. Firstly, it’s excellent location (one minute you are on crazy Shibuya crossing surrounded by millions of people, and 10 minutes later you are in a serene area - away from the buzz but very near it. It’s positioned in a quiet street and surrounded by small bar/restaurants that serve beautiful (international and modern Japanese) food and drinks. Every night we had dinner in a different bar near our hotel. We can recommend all of them. We didn’t have a bad meal anywhere we ate and, if they don’t have an English menu, don’t be put off, use google translate and you will be rewarded! Some of the Japanese language only places would be close to a Michelin star. Near our hotel was a dry cleaner, if you need it, and opposite our hotel was a small supermarket, open long hours, where we shopped every day. We bought a pack of small sultana buns with butter inside - very good, and strawberries - try Japanese strawberries - unusually sweet and juicy. For breakfast, we had coffee from the coffee machine from the lobby of the hotel with the strawberries and sultana buns from the minimart. I got addicted to the buns (warmed up in the microwave in our hotel room for 10 seconds). Secondly, we liked the room’s facilities and it’s small balcony - it was nice to open the window/ door and have some fresh air. The room was nicely decorated with its own kitchenette (including the microwave), and washing machine with quality products in the bathroom - all smell divine. I travel with my shampoo and conditioner, but used the ones provided by the hotel! Also the normal(!) size ionic hairdryer! Did I mention the bathtub? Clean and deep - on some days I had a 5 min bath in the morning and evening which made me feel like I truly was on holidays.

Small and efficient as one would expect from a Japanese hotel but still had a luxurious feel. Small kitchenette was handy. Beds were comfortable. Clothes washer/dryer in the room was awesome. Location was great. A quiet street with a wonderful market right across the street and plenty of small local restaurants nearby. A short 5-10 minute walk put you right in the middle of the chaos of Shibuya scramble. It was cool to be so near the action but still have a quiet retreat close by. Quick walk to two train stations too.
